Hard Drive Full? - Check for iexplore.exe.exp logfile

Did you wake up this morning to find out that your 120GB hard drive was full? Take a peek in the folder where Internet Explorer resides, and check for a rogue logfile…. Delete it from C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe.exp.log and you should be all set.

  1. I have recently discovered and deleted this file, my ? is how in the hell did it get there and what was it. There is NO information about this file anywhere on the internet.

  2. I deleted the 20+ GB IEXP:ORE.EXE.EXP.LOG from a friends pc and it came back the next day. I then deleted it and created a small text “Read Only” file with that same name, in the same directory (Program Files : Internet Explorer) and have not seen the huge file reappear, yet (3 days). Still don’t know where it came from and am watching Google scans for indications that someone might have identified source.
